Hello,
I'm trying to do a post process motion blur on a realflow sim. I'm trying the jbBlur2D script that came with "Mental Ray Tips and Tricks". I've had no success.
I exported an image sequence for the motion vectors, using maya 2008 render with 2d motion blur, and "Keep motion vectors" checked. I ran the jbBlur2D script but the process doesn't seem to be working. I also noticed that Maya Software renderer doesn't render The imported Realflow sim. If Software can't render the RF import, does that mean that the motion vector render is impossible?
Has anyone tried a doing a post motion blur pass with realflow and maya 2008? After effects is my compositing program. I was thinking of using realsmart motion blur, but if realflow only renders through mental ray i guess that wouldn't work.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I haven't tried the "keep motion vectors" trick, but I have rendered realflow mesh sequences, with motion blur and rendered it with Maya software, in Maya 8.5. So I dunno, perhaps a bug in Maya 2009? And I believe Maya 2009 has this "vector render pass", were it uses the color channels as Vector info (so it's this like rainbow images sequence), which can be used in some composite packages.

Well I hope you find a solution!
