I can't help but notice that most of you were more interested in creating the environment (kitchen, dinning area) than the food. Guess that will be one of the future projects :)

okay well...
first of all... good luck to everybody who finished the project
I had a... "technical problem" (like only 2-3days to get throught it) + a real technical problem... my textures turned white and I never found how to get them back (even when I tried to start it over it had that problem)
second thing
I will not vote for my self since my project is not finished so I dont deserve any price
I had fun doing this contest and its amazing to see how you guys have get throught it
Muffin, chocolate chips and eggs probably a mix for cookies thats a good idea
its hard to make a decision since they are pretty
I will give my vote for the textures and the whole scene...
You both did a good job guys and deserve the first place

I have to agree with the environment compared to the food. . .that was the really challenging part of this project and proves how difficult it is to get good CG food.
After I had started modeling and acheived what I thought was a pretty decent chip (as this was the most important part of the project for me) it was time to get it into an environment that would enhance the chip. Once I started doing this, I found that the environment played a huge role into the believability of the chip and other food objects. . .once I had this identified it proved to be more difficult then I had anticipated.
I was unable to add several of the ingredients needed, as I struggled with how I should make it believable - no flour, no sugars. . .and then the dough!!!!
again this was a great exercise. . .in several areas. . .and in the end I of course have to vote for myself. Great work to all those who participated, even if you did not finish you at least made an effort!

Really great job every one!
I also experienced technical difficulties during this project and since for me it was the first time for everything besides modeling, it was very tough sticking to the theme of the project and learning XSI at the same time.
I mainly had Mental Ray issues, where the MR would just crash and force me to restart the application over and over again.
I tried making a raspberry cake but it turned out...XSI just doesn't like raspberries. No matter how many times i redid the thing, MR would just crash. I also wanted to duplicate that cake over and over again and have all of them aligned on the table, but MR could only handle 2 cakes :(
I really was not able to recreate the image i had in my mind and that was very frustrating.
Then, once everything was put together, i couldn't upload it on the Gallery so i had to upload it on the Forum....hopefully it will be posted soon.
Any constructive criticism would be very appreciate it!
I guess things may not always go our way, but it is still important to try and participate :)
Those are some sweet renders Fubar. Next month should be interesting as well.
