Hi All,

This is a really cool project I think, because it’s not that hard to make a really nice scene very quickly. Just get yourself a nice flat back scanner.

I will do the board game Stratego Original and put little extra dimensions to the game :)

Great choice. I've never played this game but just by looking at the box and castle, even has lakes, I can tell you'll have fun creating this project.

LOL very nice ! u can use a bump map on thr board to add to it :)

and since you'Re in 3D... you can make a real ground in 3D on the board ^^
it can be orignal and really nice to see

Hey, one thing to say...
when I first look at the picture you gave us (the real game) I had an idea
and it was to bring the map alive
and you just did it perfecly
seriously its better than I first imagined

I will try to make a explosion that is blowing up concrete so a lot of dust and debris.

I'm assuming he meant "Mythbusters" the show, where they try to debunk myths, rumors, beliefs through scientific experiments etc. They blow up a lot of stuff in doing so, you'll probably like it :D

Are there any actual 3D versions of these games available? If not might be cool to contact the companies and offer up these models for just such a thing. They look awesome. Would be cool to play them on the PC for many folks I would think.

I've heard of the Mythbusters but I have'nt seen them in action.. That's what cause the concern. You can call ma a Mythbuster if you want. That's fine with me!!! looking forwark for your finishing touches... :bounce2:

Progress_update:

finished the forest allot of forest :P
added a glass plate with red stripes as playing field
Removed the red stripes from original playing field

Todo:

Building a surrounding
Add animations
Get the whole thing renderable :S

im not sure if thats what you did...
but doing a 3D ground and animate it... and put a transparent board game with your lines over it... can make a nice game
and if you already did that

Well guys, it's December 31st and no one has submitted a final render of their project. Since it's the holidays season and end of the year I'm assuming you were too busy to work on this. So the question is; Do you want still want a poll for whatever you have or would you rather skip it for this month?

In the meantime, January's project offers you an opportunity to experiment with particles ;)
