Hi :)

I'm a 3ds max user who's about to migrate to XSi and I'm still just getting into the XSi workflow.

The last days I've been looking for a UV map feature that I just cannot find. In 3ds max there's a checkbox when you're poly editing to "Preserve UVs". With this ticked you can UV map a box first and then start to add edges, move geometry and add details without the mapping itself getting distorted (squash/streched).

After a lot of googling around I found the XSi v5 new features page which says "There are come cool new projection tools like [...] swim (allows editing geometry without distortion) and reproject. Check out the texture swimming video."
This sounds like what I'm looking for, but the video link is dead and I cannot find anything more on the subject in the XSi help file.

If anyone could help me with this I would be very grateful. Thanks :)
