View Full Version : MOTOR not working when pressing CREATE

Hi

I have a problem using MOTOR. I first use the biped guide, and make a shadow rig for the biped also. Im using xsi 6 or 7 for this.

I then tag the biped rig, and try then to load in my source BVH file to tag so i can merge the animation. However when i press CREATE, nothing happens.

Has anybody else experienced this

Hi

I tried some other bvh files, and it worked ok, so looks like a problem with the original bvh i used, although it would be better if xsi told me there was a problem.

Now to my next major problem... After plotting down the animation down on the shadow rig and exporting, there is no animation data stored in the rig, like when i hand animate. In order to get the mocap data to stay on the rig at export, do i need to do another process?

HI.. i got a result!

It seems once i have applied the motion capture to the biped rig in XSI, saving out as x, doesnt work initially.

What i must do is save the motion, in the MOTOR category, then reload and plot it back onto the biped skeleton, then export and it works fine!

One thing i dont understand though, is if i have animation data already present on the timeline, even if i tell xsi to plot the mocap data at a certain point, it totally meseses up my existing data?
