Hello people
I need some assistance here, i am working on some teeth, these teeth have displacement maps and normal maps on them, so i get the scene and animation set up all nice and whatnot, and everything is fine, now the time comes to render the passes, which i break in 2, Default pass (with it's different channels) and the AO pass, when it's time to composite, i notice that the final images don't match, so i start looking for the problem only to discover that the ambient occlusion pass rendered the models without the displacement and normal maps, can someone please tell me what the problem is?
thank you

You'll have to change your shaders around some to get them to play well together. Here's a quick sample scene I set up..hope it helps!

Oh, I'm sorry - I completely missed that this was an XSI issue :) That's what I get for hitting "Today's Posts" and being in a rush (end of day). Sorry about that!
I don't have XSI, so someone else will have to post a similar fix. Basically I attached the ambient occlusion node to the color input, changed the ambient color to a light gray and attached the displacement to the shader group node. Since I don't work in XSI, I'm not sure how that'd translate - but hopefully someone who has XSI can chime in with some help. Sorry again...
