Hi Everyone,
Im running thru the disc2 of intro to realflow and Im getting some strange bobbling on the mesh surface that I,ve imported into maya.
Originally I let the liquid settle for 450 frames, Then redone to end frame 600 still the mesh did'nt completely settle. I,ve attached a jpg of a single mesh that I rendered in max8 still got the bobbling on the mesh surface could anyone help at all.

Many thanks Alan.

PS I,ve run these discs so many times still get a buzz from watching them.

Settling or relaxing the fluids can take much longer. You'll also need to use the speed daemon to slowly kill the energy of the particles.

Hi Sunder,

Thanks for the reply, Had the speed demon connected set the viscocity a tad lower .9
but what would you set the end frame to
1200 -1600 frames or more.

Thanks Alan.

I usually don't use frames. I let the simulation run in lock mode and save out bin files.

How do you decide whether or not the particles
have settled enough for them to be used in a
collision.
Only viewing in wireframe while simulating its
kinda awkward to decide if things have
progressed enough for a good render.

Thanks again.

By the motion of the particles, time spent relaxing (the fluid), and by testing the particles as well.

Thanks again Sunder,
Back to the simulation, and thanks for the feedback.
