Ive used the new mental ray phenomenom shader for my car, but it has no alpha for some reason. Anyone know why?

Mental ray shaders are like that. You have 2 options
1. Use Maya's render layers and assign a white surface shader override (there's a preset for this)
2. Go to the Render Settings (globals) and scroll down to Custom Entities and turn on Pass Custom Alpha Channel. Use this one, it's easier and more accurate.

I figured out a few hours after, I used the custom alpha channel. tghanks for the help
