I am watching the character rigging dvds. As things are explained "Pappa" moves skeleton parts around and you get to see them in action. When I try that I get only the position objects are in when I begin and when I let go. In other words beginning and end, whereas he gets all movements in between in real time.
I assume I have something set improperly- some really fundamental issue.

I've got lots of computer, a new cintiq, a Quatro FX 3000 and 3 (well 4 really) gigs of ram running on xp pro.
Why can't I see thing move!?

Thanks for any info

That is really strange behavior. So when you pick up the control it disappears until you let go of it? Is that right? I would check your drivers for both your monitor and card. We use quatro fx cards too and haven't seen this issue.

No, nothing disappears. I have made the model invisible (on a layer) and I'm just looking at the skeleton & rig.
Say I am moving the footprint curve, It is the parent of the foot contols and indirectly the ik handle, just like you taught me,
What I see is everthing at start position and I see the foot controls and the footprint move along with the mouse but it is not until i let go of the mouse that the leg bones move. If I pick up the ik handle directly I can see the legbones move in real time-until I let go and it snaps back because of the point constraint on it.
The same thing happens if I manipulate the foot controls (the joints with point & orient constraints that control the leg and foot bones,) I see the controller move along with the mouse but the thing it is controling just snaps into position when I let go of the mouse. I turned off textures and am not displaying high quality in hopes that I was just using too much memeory. I thought I might have some setting turned off. ?
