In the side/top/front views im not seeing the coloured cubes, arrows or curcles for the move/scale/rotate tools. How can i make them sppear again?

Go to Display > Heads Up Display > View Axis. As far as the "colored cubes", I'm assuming you're using version 7 and talking about the box in the top right corner? When you're in your side/top/front views, that box doesn't show up.

I mean when i select the scale tool i dont see the colours handles it has or the cubes at the end of the handles.
In the move tool i dont see the arrows at the end of the handles but i do see the handles. If im still no making sense ill try and post a pic of it.

I've had this problem before, but it usually goes away when I open and close maya. This problem is common to people using ATI graphics cards. I would try updating the drivers and also make sure that in windows the DPI is set to the normal 96.
