Using an XML file in more than one page

Hey just completed the Dreamweaver 8 training and found it really useful, but have a question linked to the XML lesson having not used it before.
The class took you through bonding a document to one page and pointing to the quotes.xml file, but how can I use the XML data across a number of pages...

I had an issue with that part of the tutorial and for some reason I can not find how to fix it. When I preview it for the first time a long side the tutorial I get something different. The page comes up with:

SAXParseException: Expected end of tag 'param' (testimonials.xsl, line 52, column 3)

I seem to be the only one who has had this trouble with this part of the tutorial.
