Resolution

Hi ive got a prob with my resolutions, i create an image in maya at 300 dpi, but when i render it out it in AE it changes it to 72, anyone know how to fix this, i need it to stay at the resolution i create it at and i cant find the option to change resolution any where

It might be the compressor. What are you using?

What format are you using? Not all formate carry DPI information. Also, what exactly are you doing with the image in AE? I don't know if AE supports DPI, but even if it does there is a chance it might not matter at all. In any casse there is probably a work around, but you have to clarify exactly what you want to do with the image.

look and see what the pixl dimensions are on your origonal (600x800) and see if you can output the render to the same dimentions, or if they are the same.

I'm not using a compressor, im just importing my tiff sequence in maya (720x576 at 300 pixel resolution) then compositiong it in AE, then rendering another tiff sequence of all the composited stuff so i can give people images of it, but i need the resolution to stay at 300 pixels so they can enlarge it without it getting pixelated, you see what i mean?
when i render it goes to 72 pixels, dont know why
