I want to be able to use custom fonts that I download from the internet. and I have been looking at forums online to be able to do this but nothing yet. I want to be able to tell the font style to grab the text from the .eot file I uploaded to my server, but I haven't been able to get it right any suggestions?

you dont want to just crop the text and use it as say part of the banner logo? Its usually good practice to not use custom text for body text as it may be difficult to read for some audiences, and as a website you want it to be legible to as many people as possible. Thats why most professional sites stick to arial, helvetica, verdana, etc as body text as these are easy fonts to read. I recently saw a site done with the font Papyrus along with some Destroyed fonts as body text i couldnt help but LMAO.

I know i didnt really address your question directly i just wanted to give you some input bud.. good luck =)

Here's a good walkthrough (http://www.netmechanic.com/news/vol3/css_no15.htm) of how to achieve what you want. Be aware of, most especially, the security issues involved. Any time a security warning pops up, it can very easily scare away end users/potential customers. If you can easily replace your unique font with a more web-friendly font, or an image then I'd highly advise that route instead.
