flash buttons and if user needs to have shockwave installed in theier browser to view

When you add a flash button in dreamweaver 8, to a web page... will a user need to have shockwave installed on their computer to view that flash button in their internet browser?

any help regarding this question will be highly appreciated!

They'll need to have the Flash player installed (which they most probably will have) in order to see the button.
