In this lesson, we will create a custom attribute to drive the transformations of the base plate that are connected to the robot's neck. All right. So this is the last step for our head control. Let's go ahead and select it, and we'll create a few custom attributes. The first will be displayable. And we could always call this neck base. And now, the next custom attribute we will create is going to be the one that we'll use to animate the base plates. So let's go ahead and call that open close. We'll give it a minimum of zero, a max of one and a default of one since we're tying the scale of each plate into this attribute. All right. So now it's just a matter of using the Connection Editor to finish up. Let's go ahead and open that. Make sure our head controls are loaded up on the output side. Then, we can go in and grab all of our base plates. And then it's just a matter of connecting it to scale. So just go through and grab each of these. Load that on the input side. we'll choose open close. Then we'll go through and connect scale XYZ of each. So go ahead and pause the video and get that taken care of. OK. So all of the objects have been wired in. And now, if we were to go to the open close channel, here's what we end up with-- really nice sliding action. Great. All right. Well, that finishes up our head control. So that means we're on one of the last tasks of our robot that's to work on the arm rig. And then, once that's finished, we can go ahead and create a global control. We do have a global transforming node. That's our global move group. However, just for animation's sake, we'll probably want something that the animator can go in and grab very easily. So we'll definitely want to build that. But without getting ahead of ourselves, let's go ahead and start working on the arms in the next lesson.
