What you will learn
In this course we will learn how the mental ray Production Shaders can be used to take our Maya renders to a new level of realism and efficiency. Topics include rendering instantaneous motion blur using the mip_motionblur node, using the mip_card_opacity node to render accurate depth and normal passes, re-rendering portions of our images using the mip_render_subset node, compositing our 3D objects into live-action environments using the mip_cameramap, mip_matteshadow, and mip_mirrorball nodes, as well as many other mental ray Production Shaders found within Maya.
