Lesson Outline (12 lessons)
In this course we'll get an overview of some of the new features of ZBrush 3.5.

We'll start by looking at some of the basic changes to the interface, like Lightbox, using the floor grid, and taking advantage of automatic file recovery. We'll talk about some of the changes you'll notice when using the smooth brushes on your geometry. There are a number of new brushes in ZBrush and we'll take a look at several of them including the move brushes and the crumple brush. In addition, we'll explore the new planar brushes and how we can use those to help create pieces with harder surface features. We'll cover Backtrack, a new stroke feature that will allow you to get nice clean features with your brushes. We'll talk about using surface noise to add detail across a surface very quickly. We'll cover some of the zsphere changes as well as the new ZSketching tools to build out volumes with ZSpheres. Finally, we'll cover some of the texturing and masking changes as well as working the displacement and normal maps. Upon completion, you'll have a good idea of some of the new features of zbrush and you'll be able to integrate them into your own workflow.
